When It’s Not Laziness… It’s Low Energy.

There was a time I thought I was lazy.

Really, I was depleted.

There’s a difference.

Some days feel uphill. It's like life can’t possibly stack anything else on your shoulders.

Then out of nowhere, you’re tearing up at scenes that trigger your “what could’ve been.”

You start personalizing small gestures.

You’re hitting snooze more often.

You’re questioning everything you once wanted.

Don’t panic.

You haven’t lost yourself.

But you might be emotionally depleted.

Here are a few quiet signs:

1. You’ve stopped caring about how you show up. Your hair is undone. You literally have on the same sweats. No effort.

Not because you’re relaxed — but because you’re tired.

2. Sleep feels better than engagement.

One reset day is normal. However, wanting to sleep through life? That’s escape.

3. You’ve lost interest in what once lit you up.

No singing. No workouts. No reading.

Your spark feels dim. And you don't know how to snap out of it.

4. “I don’t feel like it” becomes your default.

Your body feels heavy. Even small tasks require negotiation.

5. You withdraw. You text less. You call less.

Getting up feels harder than it should. And it begins to interfere with important things.

6. You take things more personally, and interpret much more situations as perceived abandonment. The inner critic gets louder.

7. You feel anxious or close to tears for no clear reason. It starts with heavy limbs. Then, you get pressure in your chest. And you don’t know why.

But don't beat yourself up. Your nervous system just needs care. And depletion doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’ve been carrying more than you’ve acknowledged.

But you don’t fix depletion with shame.

You fix it with small, intentional resets.

Start with one small thing: getting sunlight, drinking water, movement, one honest conversation, one boundary.

You don’t need a life makeover in one step.

You need gentleness and consistency.
